Surgical Recovery treatment

Description
Recovery process varies with intensity and level of invasiveness of surgery. Outpatient surgeries (like a hand surgery) are much less invasive than inpatient (open heart or spine surgery, for example). Prevention
Depends on kind of surgery as to what could have been prevented. Follow treatment plan given by doctor and don't try to exert yourself too much too quickly (could cause more complications).
Rare Symptoms
Contact doctor if have difficulty breathing, fever, black stool, uncontrollable pain, issues at incision site (redness, bleeding, drainage), inability to control function/consciousness/diet.
Traditional Treatment
Heavy pain medications, stool softeners, anticoagulants, breathing exercises, physical therapy, wound bandaging and creams, moist heat, massage therapy, rest, progressively normal diet from clear liquids.
Alternative Treatment
Supplements and herb treatments to increase healing rate.
