after applying benzydamine hcl on my lower back, it was tested positive in drug screening. It was assumed that I had been taking sleeping tablets, which I have never had. I assumed that this medication had been absorbed into my urirnary tract which gave a false positive in the drug screening

If you suffer a sore throat, ask for a prescription. The only other thing that MAY work is an aspirin mixed with codeine cough syrup (which in Canada, sold 'behind the counter').
