03 Oct 2017 I've been on this med (50 mg) for 4 mo. Late Aug. it was raised to 100 mg. Since beginning this med, I had the following side effects - anxiety, brain fog, no energy, weird dreams, thinner skin, depression. Three weeks after the dosage was increased, started having unexpected bouts of low blood sugar. Will need to get off this med too. Couldn't take Lisinopril or Amlodipine because of bad side effects.

11 Sep 2012 I have inherited Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy, inherited from my mum who is now at the dilated end stage. This is a fairly standard treatment to reduce the obstruction, and thereby the heart failure. It has been around 75% effective at controlling the obstruction, evidenced as reduced ectopics (PVC's), palpitations, tachycardia, shortness of breath and chest pain. It worked well at first but a myriad of side effects had crept in including weight gain, fatigue, diarrhoea, insomnia and elevated blood sugar. In consultation with my cardiologist, I have weaned myself off this drug and am now taking Coleus Forskolii 125 mg (10% Forskolin) 4 times daily with 100% control of my obstruction and a reduction from Stage 3 to Stage 2 heart failure.
