Description
Hormonal imbalance is characterized by depression, anxiety, mood swings and irritability. A hormone imbalance occurs when there is too much or too little of a particular hormone in the body.
Causes
The main reason someone has a hormone imbalance is under or over production of a certain hormone however, there are other reasons as well. Someone can have it due to family genetics and some may have it due to an unhealthy lifestyle. Women who take birth control pills are more likely to experience hormonal imbalance.
Common Symptoms
Depression, fatigue, mood swings, anxiety, irritability and is often associated with menopause. Hypothyroidism can be a symptom due to a hormone imbalance along with gestational diabetes.
Rare Symptoms
Osteoporosis, tinnitis, arthritis, and gastrointestinal distress.
Traditional Treatment
Life style changes such as improving your eating habits. A hormone imbalance can be caused by too much stress and working too hard so being able to manage stress and enjoy yourself is very important.
Alternative Treatment
Hormone replacement therapy which has high risks and is very expensive. A lot of times the treatment is to expensive so the symptoms are treated not the actual hormone imbalance. Thyroid hormone replacement therapy and thyroid hormone replacement therapy.
