Oxybutynin is the generic name of Ditropan. It functions by reducing muscle spasms of the urinary tract and urinary bladder.

Used in the treatment of overactive bladder and symptoms include frequent and/or urgent urination; urinary incontinence; and increased night-time urination.

Oxybutynin chloride is the active ingredient of Ditropan and the inactive ingredients include:
Calcium stearate;
FD&C Blue #1 Lake;
Lactose;
Microcrystalline cellulose.

28 Jun 2010 I have had bladder trouble for years and this medicine was prescribed to me as an asprin for the bladder. It has been very helpful to me for years as long as I take it exactly when it is time otherwise my bladder starts to hurt. Have tried other medicines and this one works best for me.
