I use a mix of drugs as preventive for my "Cluster" condition one is Topamax. At first I was on 250mg and it was terrible as I lost weight, dizzy, total lack of concentration and at time could not even remember my telephone number or home address. No aftyer treatment I am down to 25mg (morning and 50mg night and I feel no side effects yet I still feel a slight lack of concentration, drowsiness and weight loss. I was on Imitrex for many years and went through horrible after affects. With Zomig I have some but not nearly as horrid as with Imitrex. I take 5 mg. with Vicodin. I would recommend anyone to try Zomig if you have migraines.

Cymbalta certainly does the job. Have had very little side effects from it at all. I am taking it to control my panic attacks. I did go through a period where my doctors office switched doctors and I couldn't get my perscription refilled for almost 5 days until they got it together. I was fine the first two days but the third through fifth day I was having dizzy spells and anxiety attacks from not taking it. Ugh. Within 2 months I had gained almost 10 pounds, felt bloated most of the time, experienced moderate menstrual cramps (I don't usually get them) and started getting migraines the first full day of my period. Not to mention, I spotted the whole time I was on the pill. It's month six and I am switching!!!

Takes 2-4 days before noticing effects, not very effective. Produces slight side effect of minor skin rash and dry skin. Switched to more highly effective ointments. Seems have to apply more than prescribed per day (three times per day) in order to be more effective.
