Although i was perscribed Solpadol as a pain relief and still require it for that purpose, as an ex smoker of Marijuana i obtain the same relaxed effect with Solpadol and believe i have replaced one with the other. When my Dr will not perscribe solpadol i replace it with normal Co Codamol and Ibuprofen until i can obtain my next perscription. Esipram (Lexapro) saved my life. I had suffered major chronic disorder for 18 years and no other anti-depressants helped. Some (Prozac) made it worse. I was taking tranquilizers every night and seeing a psychiatrist at least weekly. The anxiety attacks were horrendous and nothing helped. I still cannot believe the difference Esipram made. THIS DRUG SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MARKET!!! It causes PERMANENT sexual dysfunction, swelling, fatigue, depression and sleep problems. Contrary to what Merck claims: these side-effects are NOT temporary. There should be a full investigation into how this drug got approved. It has completely destroyed my life! In 2003, I attempted to commit suicide as a direct result of the drug's after-effects. Other people are telling similar stories on the internet.
