Because I deal with chronic pain an antidepressant was initially prescribed to me about 9 years ago. Since that time I have also started menopause and I started getting more sensitive and weepy and mad at being sick so they changed my medication to Cymbalta and have since increased the dosage to twice what they initially prescribed. I notice a big difference with this drug and feel it has done the trick.

This birth control caused me to have really bad mood swings. I flipped between being extremely sad and depressed to becoming violent and crazy. I only took this medicine for about a week before I had to switch.

Overall this drug was great. Even though I gave great skin now, my skin did improve. I thought my skin was really good to begin with but this just took things up to another level. I experienced a 12 pound weight loss and I was eating more then previous. I did have an increase in appetite but it didn't bother me because I was loosing so much weight. I have tried many depression/anxiety medications and Zoloft works best. I have had no adverse side effects from this medication (as I have had with others) and it has worked well to alleviate my anxiety.

At first when I was taking Pristiq it seemed to be the miracle pill. I thought I'd hit the lottery but the longer I have been on it more negative than positive. I'm on 50mg per day and have been on it for 3 months. I'm experiencing headaches, mild seizures, dizziness, weight gain, insomnia, and depression that went away in beginning is now back again. I'm going to have to slowly go off it but if it starts out good that doesn't mean that it will stay that way. I'm going to try Prozac again.
