The Ultram caused slight dizziness in the beginning which stopped after taking it for a while. It caused really significant memory problems initially. Now, when taking the medication, I mix my words up sometimes; but I do not feel confused. I can pretty much function normally. But I would use this drug cautiously in the elderly! I have been using Flomax for two years. At first took every day. After the first couple of days, I noticed I was better able to empty my bladder, allowing for fewer trips to the toilet. Also, in the first two days, I experienced the side effect of very strong erections, both when waking up and with normal sexual stimulation. Felt like I'd taken Viagra.
