I have struggled with frequent bouts of insomnia since high schools. I've tried almost every prescription sleep aid on the market with less than positive results. They often left me feeling exhausted, had vivid, violent dreams, and overslept numerous times. Melatonin has been a life-saver. I take the 5 mg pill a half hour before bed and I sleep pretty well; almost the whole night through.

Betaserson did seem to help control my MS a little. I still had attacks every few months. My most severe attack to date was while taking Beta. I now own a wheelchair because of that attack. Really did not like the side effects and had a constant low grade fever while taking this drug.

I have used NuvaRing for over 3 years and the onlly side effect I had was loss of sex drive. I loved being able to control my periods with it and not having to remember a pill everyday. That being said, after 3 years on it I started having severe lower abdominal pain. I originally thought it was a cyst but then the pain migrated throughout my whole pelvic area. I take Tums because I like the taste and although I am not low on calcium, I consider them safe as a calcium supplement- if taken as directed. They work for indigestion, too, but if I take one on an empty stomach I get stomach pains.
