My mom is 82yrs old and has alzheimers. She is in a nursing home and was given Ativan after she fell in the middle of the night. She had a bad reaction to this med in the hospital and wasn't supposed to take it. Now it is 5 days later and her memory is WAY worse. Can this have long term effects?

I'VE HAD A WEIGHT PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME. HOWEVER, RISPERDAL DOES SEEM TO AGGRAVATE THIS. WITHOUT MY RISPERDAL I GET VERY PARANOID AND ANXIOUS. WITH MY RISPERDAL I CAN FUNCTION AND HAVE A SENSE OF PERSPECTIVE AND HUMOR. DRY MOUTH IS PREEETY BAD IN THE NIGHT. ALSO MAY CAUSE STUFFY NOSE ALTHOUGH I AM PROBABLY ALLERGIC TO MANY DIFFERENT SUBSTANCES. KNOWN ARE DUST AND POLLEN. SATISFACTORY GENERICS ARE AVAILABLE. Zantac was first prescribed by doctor when two medicines that should not have been taken together were prescribed. After that it was prescribed for acid reflux.
