There are so many different kinds of medications out there. You aren't just going to immediately find the right one for you. It's all about trial and error. Trust me, it's an agrivating process and I've wanted to give up many times (I started trying different meds about 7 months ago) I have confedence that I will find one right for me. This medicine potentially saved my life. After several years of periodic panic attacks, I awoke to a suicidal panic attack whereupon my heart and body were racing and my mind was telling me that I HAD to kill myself. I could not speak and could hardly breathe. My only help was to text message a friend who immediately drove to my house and called my neurologist for me. I've been taking Xyzal for about a year and I took a Xyzal one last month, and also had hallucinations! But I've never had a bad reaction with it before, so I think it may be a bad batch... Which is scary.....

I was prescribed Lupron to stop my periods, which were always painful with heavy bleeding. Since I was in treatment for early stage breast cancer, it was also recommended to control the estrogen, which helped to produce my tumour. I had had two 1-month shots and I am never taking this drug again. I can stand the hot flashes, the exessiuve sleepiness in my case and the feeling of weakness in the muscles. Unfortunately, I have had a real problem with hormonal birth control. I'm currently taking Microgestin, and while I'm kind of miserable on it, it's not as bad as what I experienced with Ortho. My only real complaint is that I have developed contact lens intolerance, and get red, gritty, painful eyes every time I wear my lenses for more than one day at a time. My Dr., of course, doesn't think it's from the pill, but would rather send me to a series of unnecessary (and expensive) tests. G... View full comment
