I used Levora (Nordette generic) for over 5 years and it was great. However, I really like the idea of less periods. I have only taken it for a few weeks so I am not sure yet how I feel about Seasonique. I used Mononessa for about 3-4 months. I started back in late February and ended in June. Over that time, I had very intense mood swings and many crying episodes. I usually am a very positive person and I could not get into a good mental place. I was also vomiting much more often and I experienced several intense headaches and multiple mild ones in a month. I have a brown mark accross my forehead ever since I have taken the nuvaring 4 years ago - it gets worse with suntan. It is similar to "the mask of pregnancy". I also have the brown line on my abdomen from my belly button down - similar to that you get when pregnant. Both of these side effects are mild but I do not notice anyone posting these side effects.
