The most positive and unanticipated side effect, besides clearing up my strep throat, is that I experience a level of energy that I haven't known for close to 4 years, since the birth of my son. It makes me think that I've had a long-term low level infection for a long time that the azithromycin is clearing up. We'll see what happens once my prescription runs out in a few days!

I dont even want to be on BC as ive been trying get pregnant for over two years now. I miscarried twins and had constant pain for over a year after so had a laperoscopy. It turns out i had bad endometriosus, amongst other problems. after the surgery the pain continued so the Dr said for me to go on BC for three months to give everything a break then try and get pregnant again. so far ive been emotional and I have the worst constipation!!!!! I have had simular issues. I first started taking chantix Oct 29, 2008. I had terrible abdominal pain and severe nausea. So, I convinced myself to continue taking the drug because I thought nausea and abdominal pain was better than continuing to smoke. Boy was I wrong. I quit smoking on Nov 15, 2008 AND quit taking chantix 3 days later. I knew I had to because chantix was making me very ill. Actually changed my life. Effectively lifted my depression and has allowed me to finally function normally. The only major side effect i've noticed is that when I miss several doses in a row, I get dizzy and my balance is off. This goes away when I resume taking it, though, and is a small price to pay for what it has done.
