Although not strictly a benzodiazepine etizolam shares similar pharmacological properties. My professional opinion is that one should treat it with similar caution, i.e. avoid constant long-term use, use the minimum dose that provides a satisfactory response, either relief from a panic attack, disabling anxiety or the onset of sleep and NEVER exceed the maximum daily dose, 2mg/Day, that appears in the product literature. I used it when I had a bad headache once and it worked wonders for me. It also provided a fair amount of relief when I got my wisdom teeth pulled. The variety of it is great, and even the chewable tablets are excellent (and taste well).
