After 7 open heart surgeries I had to take prednisone. The hunger and mood swings associated with this drug were awful. I gained a lot of weight, especially in my face. I also had diabetes while on the medication. But they say the medicine has its purpose.

Started have a lot of heel pain---going to a foot doctor for that now. Also pain in my hips and legs. And stiffest in the hands. Memory is worst then before taking this med as well. My doctor took me off armor because they stopped making the 15mg and I need to take a 30 and 15. So he put me on this and it is 50. Works well. The only side effect is that my appetite has increased considerably. I have become obsessed with food since starting on Crestor. I am left with the choice of either increasing daily exercise (which I already do considerably jogging 4 miles a day) or accepting the discomfort as I ignore my frequent hunger pangs. If I give in to my appetite my weight increases in spite of jogging 28 miles a week.

this medicine helped, with no side effects. i found that i had to also ad a additional blood pressure medicine. reasons for this could been family history or job related stress.
