it works great 3 years I have been on it and I am not pregnant! The only down side is the weight gain and a change in emotions, it makes you a little more sensitive.

I would get off of these drugs and go for acupuncture and herbal treatments. It's not worth the side effects. When I took lisinopril for 3 months, I felt like I had the flu the entire time. My BP was only high at the PCP's office because they always managed to tick me off before I got in to see the Dr, then had to wait an hour or more. I have experienced the rare side effect of visual disturbances each time I have taken this drug. The central visual disturbances are now geting too much for me and I am considering quitting taking it. It has taken myself and my GP some time to eliminate my migraines and my other medication, Topamax, from causing these unwanted side effects.

My doctor recommended Lantus. It is more expensive and less effective than the NPH I was taking. I was on 2 injections per day before Lanus. Now I have to take short acting insulin before each mean and Lantus before bed. I feel like a pin cushion and my blood sugars are no better. Taking the extra insulin has caused weight gain.
