Once I started on the Lexapro my suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness were no longer an issue. I loved being able to sleep at nights again. I have had great results with hardly any side effects. The cost is very expensive so I tried other meds hoping to get the same results but other meds were not as successful; prozac did nothing for me...still weepy and depressed. Terrible! Try getting off this medication! It messes up your brain chemistry. I ended up in the psych ward after the terrible anxiety after trying to taper off. I did not alleviate any nerve pain that I had or still have. It's cousin Lyrica is just as dangerous! I would not suggest either of these meds. Antisiezure meds should be used for that purpose only. Taking diamox for IIH. Along with the diamox and losing weight, my eye pressure has gone down and my field vision is better, still have a blurry spot in vision due to nerve damage. Swollen eye disc has reduced and no hemmoraging now in optic nerves.
