My personal experience the w/ProAir HFA, is not a favorable one. I am 39 yrs old and have been a life-long Asthma suffferer / survisor! However, within the past few months, my Asthma has gone into what I call an 'active / non-reactive' phase. Very active on the Asthma side and non-reactive to my normal Albuterol Sulfate Inhaler or Solution for my Nebulizer. I took this a few years ago and had HORRIBLE side effects and stopped it within one month. I developed horrible cramping, diarhea, blood in my stools. I also had severe abdominal pain that turned out to be kidney infarctions (like a heart attack in my kidneys) that was due to blood clots. The doctors could find nothing else wrong with me that would cause these symptoms. I stopped using NuvaRing and these symptoms immediately disappeared.
