Seal

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Seal is physically striking—but those scars come from discoid lupus, not from tribal rituals as is rumored.

The first few nights that I applied Erycette, also known as Ery 2% Pads, my skin started feeling smoother and less oily. When I woke up in the morning, my skin was scaling and this is considered "normal." But one night I woke up in the middle of the night with my face bright red, and a slight rash. One supplement you should always take if you are on any of the statin drugs is Coenzyme Q10, as statins can deplete this nutrient from your body and cause muscle damage and worse. Now that I'm on a stronger statin, I've upped my intake to 300 mg. a day of CoQ10, divided into morning and evening doses. And the h... View full comment

I do weekly immunoglobulin subQ infusions. I used Chloraprep once a week, prior to insterting the 5 needles that are necessary for 1 treatment of immunoglobulin, . For the past 18 weeks, I've been using Chloroprep and have suffered with huge (4-5 inches) and burning welts at each infusion site. The welts would last for 2-3 days and required me to use prednisone and Benedryl to reduce the itching. My skin around the hives was very sensitive and felt like it had gotten very sunburned.
