Hydrocodone (dihydrocodeineone) bitartrate must be the most overpriced mild opioid on the market - now, since the withdrawal of the antitussive DICODID in 2008 (hydrocodone has NEVER been approved as an analgesic in any country except the USA) it is confined to the USA, which, according to WHO, consumed 100% of the world supply in 2014. I use a mix of drugs as preventive for my "Cluster" condition one is Topamax. At first I was on 250mg and it was terrible as I lost weight, dizzy, total lack of concentration and at time could not even remember my telephone number or home address. No aftyer treatment I am down to 25mg (morning and 50mg night and I feel no side effects yet I still feel a slight lack of concentration, drowsiness and weight loss. This was first prescribed by a neurosurgeon to replace MS-Contin he said due to the insurance coverage not paying for the MS-Contin. But since changing specialists, I find it difficult to get any other physician willing to write a prescription. They say that the DEA is cracking down hard on pain mgmt. doctors and primary care doctors who write out requests for this medication.
