I am 17, and have been on Ortho tri-cyclen since i was 15. I really like it, except that it is hard to remember to take, and i have had many pregnancy scares. I have an appointment to get mirena, but aftrer looking at reviews, I am considering cancelling my appointment. I have been taking Allegra-D for quite some time. Over the past 5 years, I have had increasingly painful menstrual cramps to the point where it affects bowel movements. I recently did some research and found that Allegra-D can be a cause for menstrual cramps. I stopped taking Allegra-D and the menstrual cramping and painful bowel movements have gone back to normal. Her blood pressure has dropped significantly since taking this medication. It used to be almost 200/ 90 and now her blood pressure is about 140/80, which is still a bit higher than normal, but still much lower than it used to be. She feels satisfied with how the pills are working, but does not enjoy having to take them everyday.
