Not sure I want to continue this drug due to the bloating and concern about the long-term affects. Was off it for less than a week and the bloating went away--nearly 5 lbs' worth. What replaced it was the worst heartburn I have ever had in my life. Got my refill and now the bloat is back. Heartburn is gone, however.

Chantx helped me quit smoking for 2 weeks. I had to quit taking it due to me getting a rash all over my body. that was 2 months ago, and i still have the rash. The doctors dont seem to know how to get rid of it. Does chantix work, i think so. I think i would still be smoke free if i could have continued it. prescribed for compound fracture of left radius and ulna...caused severe nausea...discontinued use...started using as a pain killer before endurance sport training...far too addictive to continue...threw away remainder of prescription

I was fine at 500 mg/day. When my doctor increased me to 1000 mg/day I developed severe abdominal pain and vomiting, requiring hospitalization, after 4 days of use.

I was prescribed amitryptiline after a servere breakdown and agitated depression. It was due to stress at work, and my Doctor told me the drug would bring my neurotransmitters together, that the stress had knocked apart. It saved my life, as I was suicidal.
