Well it worked to prevent pregnancy because there was no way I could've gotten pregnant when I couldn't even have sex since I basically had my period for a month! In addition I had the pleasure of getting severe cystic acne that I haven't been able to get under control for 3 months. I've never had anxiety in my life and I started having anxiety attacks. I'm sorry that your son is having this issue, and I do think you're right to be concerned. I have asthma and it runs on both sides of the family, so we weren't surprised when our daughter developed it at 2. She was pretty bad--she was on oral steroids etc and had regular breathing treatments. The pediatrician actually ENCOURAGED me to try alternative meds as he said this stuff isn't really tested in kids and we have no clue about the long term. I agree with Eammon that when I first started Amisulpride it was like a dream, but as I continued to take it my side effects have increased at an alarming rate. I sleep less than 7 hours each night, I am restless, agitated, have high blood pressure, frequently urinate during the night, unable to concentrate, poor memory, more manic, etc. I was on olanzapine , which was making me too drowsy and the weight gain was worse.
