Adderall may not be considered one of the best drugs for the typical person, but it has many benefits. I will warn people about the mood swings though, you will find yourself irritated and aggressive when coming down from the medicine. I'm able to focus more, and sleep less. (I had a minor case of Narcolepsy, I would sleep about 14 hours a day, and wasn't completing any school work)

Unfortunately, I have had a real problem with hormonal birth control. I'm currently taking Microgestin, and while I'm kind of miserable on it, it's not as bad as what I experienced with Ortho. My only real complaint is that I have developed contact lens intolerance, and get red, gritty, painful eyes every time I wear my lenses for more than one day at a time. My Dr., of course, doesn't think it's from the pill, but would rather send me to a series of unnecessary (and expensive) tests. G... View full comment

I have been coughing frequently and violently for approximately 10 years now. I used Flovent for several years and it has not stopped my cough at all. IAt my insestence I was recently given samples of Advair 250mcg from my pulmonologist. He did not believe it would stop my coughing. Much to his surprise, my coughing and breathing have greatly improved. However, I developed a skin rash and hives on my face which I know are from the Advair. I did not have these skin problems priior to my... View full comment

I found that metronidazole made my skin more sensitive to the sun. My dermatologist reccomended that I only apply at night before I go to sleep but that didn't help. Soon after I stopped using metronidazole and started putting on sunscreen daily, my face cleared up.

I should have read up on all the potential side effects but I was unsure which medicine I would get due to my insurance. I'm taking Quasense because I have servere PMS for 3 wks including during my cycle, so bad I can barely function due to the emotional/anxiety/fatigue issues so my doctor thought this would help so at least I only get the symptons every few months. Well I've only been on it for a wk and half and I'm experiencing way too many of the side effects to make it worth it. I will... View full comment

I wouldn't recommend Lutera to anyone. I switched from Tri-Regol to Lutera and the side effects came unexpectedly! My vision was even affected, I gained weight and I was extremely moody. All the "typical" side effect but I prefer my birth control to have no side effects!
