I'm aware that the drug should not be taken with alcohol, but as I drink regularly I figured I could predict the results. I planned on just a more intensified reaction to alcohol or maybe a feeling of light headed-ness. Turns out, it causes (to me at least) blackouts and erratic behavior after only two or three drinks. I was devastated that when I realized that Morphine was completely ineffective on my pain because at the time I was taking morphine, I was allowing my mother who was dying of cancer to be put on it. Now I am unsure of whether this was even helping her, and it is upsetting to even think this morphine was doing nothing.

Has to stop taking it after 6 months (dr suggested 1-1/2 years) I had so many side effects I thought I'd die!!

Glad I read your comment. I go for my first (3 month) cholesterol blood test to see if the Lipitor is working. I think I'll ask my Dr. to ask for a glucose test also, just to be on the safe side. Thanks!
