It's not until I complete this survey that I realise what an adverse affect carbimazole has had one me. It did lower my thyroid levels (and that seems to be all my doctor is interested in) but I feel worse for it. I also wonder whether other medication interracts with it. I also take lithium (which caused by hyperthyroidism) and although my doctor has said this wouldn't be a problem, I wonder if it is an issue. Final comment. I now have a really sore lower back. Started 3 weeks ago. At first the side effects were hard to handle (hot /cold flashes, sweating, tiredness, cold hands). Now my body has adjusted to it and it has brought my blood pressure down and lessened my heart rate. It's important to wait it out 2 weeks because it took that long to start working. Taking 25 mg 2 x pd with hydrochlorithiazide. No other health issues!

Originally had severe soar throat, high temp, and fluid in ear. Received amoxilcillan and cleared up fever but still had spots then got cough. Tried augmentin and that didn't help, though upset my stomach. Trying to get rid of a cough I had for a month and fluid in the ear. I didn't want a 3rd antibiotic so was recommended I try this. If this didn't work then will try Biaxin XL PAC.
