Not sure if Seasonique is the cause but I never had health problems like this until my 4th month on it. I developed a severe case of perioral dermetitus. Doctor has had me on antibiotics now for 2 months for that. Also that 4th month I started spotting daily. I quit Seasonique at the last week of my 6th month on it. I have always been very bad about taking a pill daily (especially at the same time) so my doctor put me on nuvaring. I was very uncomfortable about the idea of putting it in and taking it out at first but it has not been an issue. Once you put it in you rarely ever feel it. It makes birth control less of a constant hassle. I have occasionally gotten yeast infections and discharge is heavier than normal but not an issue really. I took Lupron Depot in 12/09 prior to hysterectomy to shrink a fibroid. Never worked and now I have developed hashimotos and continued breathng problems. I had a complete physical in 5/09 and was in excellent health except for heavy periods due to fibroid. Wish doctor had give me birth control pills instead. Do not take this drug unless you have no other options.

I wish there was an alternative to this medication that worked as well. The yeast infections are unbearable, and the interaction with birth control (making it uneffective) is annoying.
