I am a clinical-neuropsychologist.I had a touch of arthritis but of late, I am having swelling and pain in my knees and the leg gets stiff. This was prescribed to me in USA but now that I am in India, I need more information before I consult a physician here. I am taking Meloxicam for disc degeneration L4-L5 -disc buldge putting pressure on nerve. Since taking this medication I have started to have trouble with Sciatica. It appears that Meloxicam is not reducing the inflammation as well as Celebrex. Unfortunately, I cannot take Celebrex due to a sensitivity to the medication (hive reaction). Meloxicam is also causing dizziness and constipation as well as insomnia.
