Zoloft has completely changed my life. For the first time I am actually happy and my severe OCD is finally under control! I would recommend it to anyone esp those with OCD. I have ADD and have been taking Adderall and Adderall XR for over 10 years. I have had weird heart beats and when I work out I sometimes feel like my heart rate is way too high for the level activity that I'm doing. I feel like it's probably not a huge deal if you're planning on taking it temporarily but I do not recommend long term use. It's very effective but the heart risks that come with it are not worth it. Okay, Day 1 was interesting. I broke in hives where I applied the testim. Note to beginners-only apply on shoulders and upper arms. I made the mistake of putting some on my collarbone and that's were it itches the most. I was using samples the doctor gave me but went to pick up the prescription from Costco. The problem is that, the food is highly selective. I have to constantly choose what to eat, and what not too. This is seriously annoying, because carbohydrates are almost everywhere. When my blood sugar is too low, I take some malt or any sweet drink to balance it. When it is too high, it has side effects too, such as loss of your mind, fever, hallucinations, etc.

My original dose of 150 mg 2 times a day was too strong. Drowziness followed into the mid-day making my morning dose absolete. It did help my pain but prevented normal routines. I had to ease into and work up to the original dosage by starting with 50 mg 2 times a day. It is a better overall balance for me.

I am age 50 and take this for alleviating peri-menopausal symptoms. My hot flashes include nausea and fainting, so I absolutely need a hormone replacement drug to keep me normal. The only side effect I have from being on this pill for one month is a bodily rash all over (like heat rash) and acne on my chest and neck! It's very gross!
