I have been in this treatment for the last five months. I am very satisfied as I have good and steady results and have not noticed any serious side effects. I feel safe and well treated. the dose I am taking has been steady for the last 4 months now. my platelet count varies from 50- 180.000. Thje only thing that wotties me is that the doctor cannot give me a plan as to how long I will be taking this medicine. I have not had a splenectomy.

I like the medication and it works, but I just don't like the pink color, for some reasons. But the pinkcolor is good as well, because it helps me to identify it easily, as I don't know many pink medications.

Betaserson did seem to help control my MS a little. I still had attacks every few months. My most severe attack to date was while taking Beta. I now own a wheelchair because of that attack. Really did not like the side effects and had a constant low grade fever while taking this drug.

To those who had bad stomach reactions to Candex, did you make sure and drink it with a FULL 8 oz. (even more if you can) glass of water? Very important as Candex is all enzymes and they will upset your stomach if not diluted! I started taking Candex just last night for the first time (had to go on antibiotics this past week for strep and was experiencing some major itching, though I've been borderline systemic for some time now). This was by far the worst experience of my life. I had taken other BC pills off and on since I was a teen and even though some were slightly bothersome, they were tolerable - I am now 35 and can't believe how awful this particular pill was. I am about to go for a test to see if I had a stroke while on it, as i have had noticeable short term memory loss.
