Used for pain relief - Atypical facial pain - Having tried Amitripyline and Carbamozole without sucess (limited pain relief and too many side effects) I find I tolerate Dosulepin well and have acheived about 80% relief at a dose of 75mg per day.

I have thinning neck discs causing pressure on a nerve and spinal cord and the pain in my arm was unbearable -I was crying at times with it. Lyrica at 600 mg a day (with Tramadol ) has allieviated this but I have had slight vision problems at some times and absolutely no Libido! Ambien is great to get a good nights sleep if you have trouble. It makes me a little groggy the next day but that doesnt last very long. The doctor told me that it isnt good for long term use though because it can be habit forming.

I have used Topamax for almost four years and I am very satisfied with the way that it helped my headaches (both daily and migraines). However, it has caused severe memory and concentration problems. I don't feel as if I can join in intellectual discussions anymore (I went to Harvard) and I am very forgetful. I'm now switching to Lamictal in the hopes that I'll get my brain back. This is a great drug if you don't lose your mind. I would for sure give it a try.
