I have been taking 2 mg xanax for over ten years. I stop taking it every once in a while after reading negative effects . It helps me with my constipation. I do have a hard time when trying to get off of it. I experience nausea, and become quite ill for about 4 days. I do not know if I should stay on it or not . I would like to know if there is any long term effects on being on it for an extended length of time.

When I got into a car accident as a 78 year old man I felt in alot of pain, and I didnt know how i would get better, the doctor perscribed me this and I felt so happy and so much better. I broke my sternum, and i was in alot of pain, This drug helped me sleep and helped me with all my pain.

At first I noticed some hair loss, thought it may be stress. After what was causing stress went away I was still losing handfuls of hair. I was trying hair loss shampoo, went to the Dr's who said maybe diabetes; got tested for that, nope. I started getting super depressed, not that hair is everything, but it for sure is a confidence killer to be balding. No history of balding in the family either for men or women. I've been getting heart burn due to acid reflux since i was about 14. At first tums worked for immediate relief but as it's gotten worse I started taking zantac 75.
