Terrible drug------------ I felt sick like the drug was eating my liver---- I kept sleeping and functioned less. I was "zoned" out most of the time... The loss of appetite was terrible too.... And the worst thing is trying to get off it---make sure you have a loved one around when you get off it--- the depression is ten times worse than what you started with....I am goin g back to lexapro-- mild and gentle and still be functional

I was diagnosed with PMDD years after realizing that my period was much worse than everyone elses. My doctor told me that Loestrin helps treat PMDD, with a lower chance of blood clots than Yaz, so I was eager to see if it would work. My doctor weened me off of it in late November, 2009. That lasted about 4 weeks. I was completely out of control with my anger. Anything & everything set me off. Didn't care who it was ; family , friends, co - workers, management personel , people I didn't even know. I would fight or argue with anyone at anytime over anything. Needless to say, after the 4 weeks, my doctor put me back on it. after about another 3 weeks, I was much better and back under control.

Not sure if Seasonique is the cause but I never had health problems like this until my 4th month on it. I developed a severe case of perioral dermetitus. Doctor has had me on antibiotics now for 2 months for that. Also that 4th month I started spotting daily. I quit Seasonique at the last week of my 6th month on it. Now two months since I quit my face is clear but still sensitive to sun/heat, leads to breakouts and itchng. No irregular bleeding, no spotting since I switched back to my old pil... The first time I took this pill, it did exactly what it was supposed to do- my infection was gone in a matter of days. No stomach pain or indigestion. This time, it's been awful- I spend an entire night throwing up and suffering from diarrhea ... I had taken the pills along with some allergy herbs, had waited till 3hours had passed since dinner, but still woke up at 2 and was up the rest of hte night.
