Did control blood pressure--it was a sort of last resort effort from the doctor after more than a decade of blood pressure refusing to be under control with multiple, simultaneious drugs. But I had an utterly inappropriate manic ideation. I know it's supposed to remove epinephrine from the system; maybe I had a co-cortisol cascade. Side effects only lasted for the first week or so since then it's like I'm not even taking anything except for the fact I don't have panic attacks anymore. I consider Lexapro a wonder drug and wish I had started on it earlier.

I have been taking this as needed for years and have never really had a problem. In fact, as one poster said, I actually had really interesting, vivid dreams when I took it. However, I've lately been getting severe restless arms/legs. It came on suddenly, perhaps because I was using Advil PM too much, and is so severe I can't lie in bed, let alone sleep.
