User Comments about Tizanidine Hydrochloride
16 Nov 2014 @PeaceMarauder -- I know the feeling about muscles falling off of the bone when taking Zanaflex (Tizanidine), it is aweful! That only happens if I take more than 4mg, which I obviously will never do again if my doctor insists it will only be effective if I take 8mg 3x daily! He's not aware that certain people seem much more sensitive to this particular medication--you, I and that guy in China I guess! We are few and far between but I did read a study somewhere that said something 2-3% of respondents had hypersensitivity ti Tizanidine. I wish I would have bookmarked that study to show to my doctor because he is a "I know all, I am like a God" type doctor--othar than that one fault, the man has helped me immensely over the last two decades, since I was severely hurt in a car wreck! But yeah, Tizanidine can make some kind of dazed and confused in a not even kind of fun way! Care should always be taken for new users, I am sure you'd agree!?

19 Mar 2009 If you are in severe pain, I really didn't feel any effects. After surgery and a good bit of pain was removed, I found out that tizanidine is rather powerful. I usually take a small amount, 2mg per day, until my pain rises, then I take as needed up to maximum dose. I know when to drop the dosage when I feel like par-boiled chicken and my muscles feel like they're going to fall off my bones. That is one strange feeling. If you get a bad toothache, take the tizanidine at your maximum dose and it will help a lot until you can get to the dentist. 4mg was enough for me and my max dose is 8mg 3x daily and it was a severe toothache.
