With Bactrim (generic) I get immediate relief from my chronic prostatitis symptoms. However, during my last two bouts with this condition, I have also had my high blood pressure drop into the normal range. The first time, the drop was extreme so that I discontinued the high blood pressure medication for about 3 months before it returned. This drug destroyed my GI system. I experienced nausea and abdominal pain within days of taking the first dose and sporadic gas and diarrhea the entire length of my treatment. Even after I stopped taking this drug, it took 2 years for my stomach to regain any sense of normalcy.

My family has a history of osteoporosis and bone loss, so I take extra steps to make sure my bones are taken care of. Calcium works really well, I feel healthy and strong. The only thing I don’t like about calcium is that the one I take are huge and are sometimes hard to swallow. The taste is also very bad, so to mask the taste, I usually take it with orange juice or raspberry tea.
