I used to take diovan and tenoretic - switched to tenoretic and benicar - I experienced extreme hair loss and gout. plus diovan was expensive. Decided to try benicar but seems worse. Lightheadedness, dry mouth, dry stool, gout. Don't know what else until I get results from my check-up. I just don't feel right. On diovan I didn't FEEL like I was on meds apart from obvious side effects. I think I need to get off this family of drugs. I was on Procardia and never had a problem until my doct... I found that I am very sensitive to sunlight, much more so than with regular Doxycycline, and need to use sunblock. When I first started taking it, I was out in the sun all day and applying 55 sunblock periodically, and the next day started itching where the sunlight had hit. The following days, it became red and then rather scaley.
