I was prescribed this drug when I had a severe sinus infection and kept vomiting. The drowsiness associated with this medicine was more debilitating to me than the vomiting, so I stopped taking the medicine. I think that they did not need to prescribe me something so strong, and the doctor did not warn me of the side effects I would likely experience.

I recommend Topamax to anyone who suffers from chronic migraines. The only two side effects I do not enjoy is the loss of taste with soda and slight confusion at times. It's never to noticeable, but at times it does seem I get a little air headed. I rarely suffer from migraines and when I do get one it's never as strong as they were.

I suffer from fibromalgia, and depression has got worse due to relationship problems,children,bereavement. took for tooth pain that was caused by a tooth that needed a root canal= felt dazed, was at a wedding, couldn't really concentrate on what the people arnd me were saying, felt like my head away somewhere in a daze

I take the drug as prescribed other than when I have bouts of sleeplessness or twitchiness at night. When this happens I stop taking the medication for a few days/weeks to reduce it in my system and then start it again.
