I was prescribed dexamethasone for severe inflammation in my tonsils when I had mononucleosis. I was unable to swallow and had difficulty breathing due to my enlarged tonsils, but the dexamethosone improved the swelling significantly very quickly. It made me very hungry, but I had also lost a lot of weight from my illness, so this side effect was not bad for me. Have been on 200 mg Zoloft for five years and it's effect were beginning to wane. My doctor weaned me down to 100 mg of Zoloft and added 50 mg Pristiq approximately three month ago. The first few weeks on Pristiq I experienced nausea and upset stomach along with severe lethargy. Did not enjoy taking this medication. Everytime I took it, I got a yeast infection..the one good thing is that the severity of my period lessened. i have not taken this medication in three years.
