I had not taken Midol for a long time, maybe since I was about 25, so it has been over 20 years. I was cramping so bad however that I decided to try it again thinking maybe I would not experience the side effects- dizziness, feeling intoxicated. I will not take it again unless I know I can just go right to bed because I still had the side effects, but it did make the pain go away.

I've taken other statin drugs for many years and slowly drifted into the severe side affects w/o knowing it. I lived through the side affects, thinking it was an age thing. All my life people described me as being laid-back and happy. But my first year of college I became sad and impatient and moody. I used to take Claritin before it was over-the-counter (after which it failed to work for me) and I also tried Zyrtec, which never really worked for me. Out of all of the allergy medications I've used, Allegra appears to be most effective for my seasonal allergies although it is not quite as effective for my animal allergies.
