I am in my final week of the 3 month treatment. I've decided to stretch the final week into 2 weeks - taking one dose a day, instead of two. I believe the withdrawl will be a little easier (hopefully). Chantix certainly did take away the urge to smoke, I haven't had a cigarette since October 24th. (I actually stopped the first week). I found amoxicillin to be very helpful when I had bacterial and ear infection. It gave me a speedy recovery most of the times. One bad experience I had with it was during the fall of 2009 when I got a bacterial infection. As I took it, I began to feel nauseated and had head aches later that night.
