I picked it because it was a low dose option and I get migraines with higher dosage pills. Also, I liked the idea of not having periods. I did not get migraines but I got short, irregular periods any time. It was worse than getting one predictable period.

After about a year of use, I've noticed that my hair loss has pretty much stopped (at forehead). Unfortunately, nothing has really regrown. The crown of my head is fine at this point, but my hairline is the trouble area.

My original dose of 150 mg 2 times a day was too strong. Drowziness followed into the mid-day making my morning dose absolete. It did help my pain but prevented normal routines. I had to ease into and work up to the original dosage by starting with 50 mg 2 times a day. It is a better overall balance for me.

When I first started Ortho-Tri Cyclen (Lo) I was bed-bound with sickness for two days. For the next year I would have morning sickness for the first week of every pill pack each month. It was very helpful in stopping the inflammation of my hives. I had to take it for almost a week but it was effective as soon as I was finished with the prescription. My hives were completely gone by the end of the week. The only problem I had with Prednisone was the after taste. It made me dread taking the medicine.
