This drug makes me sleepy, drowsy and tired, right after I take it. And I usually take it after breakfast. I was taking one tablet before, and I went to the doctor to told him about the side effects of the drug. He advised me to rest for about 10-15 minutes after breakfast. I tried it, and I felt better somehow. He also reduced the posology to 1/2 tablet, and he told me to go and look online for more information about the drug . I wasn't told that it could have possible side effects of raising blood pressure and chest pain. Even though I think what I went through may be rare, I think it should be listed on brochure and people should apply topical cream sparingly.

Initially, Wellbutrin XL definitely helped me to get through my husband's one-year navy deployment, with me having to work part-time, continue working on my Master's degree, and care for my 7 and 9 year olds alone. That was 4 1/2 years ago and I am still on Wellbutrin XL. At this time, I would say my mild depression and anxiety, plus mood swings and lack of patience, are creeping back. Horrible experience! daughter experienced seizures and major depression after taking it. At first it can seem subtle....decreasing appetite and intake of liquid...which can lead to sodium deficiency....which can lead to seizures... our experience was very frightening.
