One of the side effects of birth control pills is abnormal vaginal bleeding. That could mean anything from spotting for a day or two to practically being on your period all the time. You may just be experiencing this because it is your first month, and your body hasn't had time to adjust to the new hormones. Not 100% sure if all symptoms are due to taking carbimazole but have stiffness and pains in leg muscles and knees and also arms. Also seem to be bruising more easily and have hemaeroids and though not causing pain they are bleeding which is not coinciding with a bowel movement bleeding when passing urine, in between going to the toilet and when asleep. My sister hasn't even been on this medication for a month yet and she's also experienced heart palpations and chest pains. They believe this medicine contributed to a blood clot in her lungs and is currently hospitalized for this.
