I've taken only immediate release niacin. With twice a day dosing, I've never had any liver issues. Every time I try three times a day dosing, I eventually get elevated liver enzymes.

Before taking Topamax I had about 3-4 serious migraines a month--nausea, sensitivity, etc--and almost daily minor ones. Since taking it I hardly get the daily migraines and I only still get about one migraine a month due to my menstrual cycle. I have lost over 10 lbs on the drug (I am now 98-100lbs depending at 5'3") but my doctor doesn't think this isn't a major concern. I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 9 years old. The asthma would come when I excercised and when I was around things that gave me allergies such as cats and pollen. I had a lot of expensive allergy tests done and was given an inhaler which would help in the moment when I couldn't breathe as well as some medicines but nothing seemed to really help overall. I take Meloxicam daily for arthritis pain in my hand and the pain is much better even though it does hurt from time to time. I have also noticed that my knee which used to give me a lot of pain no longer hurts. My wife says I don't whine anymore
