I took this drug to treat the shin splints I had from football. I took aspirin while applying and ice pack to my shins. It was effective and the combination eliminated the pain after a one-week period.

Once I started on the Lexapro my suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness were no longer an issue. I loved being able to sleep at nights again. I have had great results with hardly any side effects. The cost is very expensive so I tried other meds hoping to get the same results but other meds were not as successful; prozac did nothing for me...still weepy and depressed. I started taking Xopenex after taking proair when they moved away from using aerosole inhalers. It works better than proair but not as effective as the old albuterol.

When I was diagnosed with UC in December 09 and was prescribed Asacol and a restricted diet, it took a while to get back on my feet and normal again. I was afraid to start eating again, but slowly starting putting foods back in. There are some I can never eat again, but that's okay. My weight returned and I am stronger and healthier than before. I don't like the "thinning/lossing" hair, but I manage.

I cut down to .25mg per 3x/day now. been a long ride. never take a benzo over a 10 day period. if your Dr says it is ok, fire him/her. it is not. only good in high doses long term for extreme disorders of siezures in the young. not for anxiety, sleep, etc. don't start it ever. there are some benzo's that are immpossible to get off of according to my neurologist. in a few short months i should be free and clear of this nasty drug. a very well known and respected Dr in this area presc...
