I was pissed when my insurance company pretty much forced me to buy the generic (a 3 month supply of ortho lo is $115 vs.$10 for the generic). Being a student, I can no longer afford the name brand BC I trust! HOWEVER, since being on tri-sprintec lo, I have not had ANY side effects. It's just like being on Ortho tri cyclen lo - minus the cool click pack. It's only been one month so far, but, so far, so good. My advice: try it, it just may not be the end of the world! I have thinning neck discs causing pressure on a nerve and spinal cord and the pain in my arm was unbearable -I was crying at times with it. Lyrica at 600 mg a day (with Tramadol ) has allieviated this but I have had slight vision problems at some times and absolutely no Libido! Taken by a 16yo Lennox Gastaut patient. Seemed to increase partial seizures. Had 2 status seizures while on this med and began having Atonic seizures which she had not had in several years. Was very out of it and hardly sleeps. weaning this med now.
