I was on Imitrex for many years and went through horrible after affects. With Zomig I have some but not nearly as horrid as with Imitrex. I take 5 mg. with Vicodin. I would recommend anyone to try Zomig if you have migraines.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides...
