Took melatonin 300 mg for 4 nights. Excellent sleep first 2 nights; Unremarkable sleep 3rd night; vivid dreams and "drugged" feeling 4th night. Strange body odor and taste in mouth. 5th day, strange stomach distention (very mild gas), slight dizziness, grogginess. I have Hashimoto's so perhaps melatonin is contraindicted for daily use. Will continue to use occasionally for insomnia, but not more than 2 nights a week.

I went to the doctor tor congestion and he gave me this steroid for the first time. I took the first 6-4mg of a 6 day plan and stopped after the first dose because at first I was wired so high, I couldn't sleep or stop talking! The next day my heart was racing and I started to hear music and talking that was not there. Then later that night I started seeing things that were not there! Horrible and very scarey. I do have a problem retrieving common words since using Lyrica however, the worse problem in weight gain. I am already well overweight and had lost 27 lbs. with GREAT effort; however I have gained back nearly 15lbs. already without much of an eating change (I don't think). I have notices a stronger appetite and have tried to keep watch but it seems to be gaining anyhow. I am diagnosed with diabetees which I have controlled by diet. There are a lot of reports about lower back pain and problems in the joints and muscles. This can apply to any statin, but effects seem to vary depending upon the drug and the person using it. There might also be some possibility of loss of memory. I have not experienced any of these personally, but it does make me feel a bit anxious at times. I am curious if anyone else has experienced anxiety or similar symptoms?
